Amy, what a gorgeous block! Like Lisa, I was wondering what you made the roses with. (It looks almost like dyed gauze wrapped into roses?) I would love to know. Your block is darling.
Roses are made from cheesecloth I first dyed with thinned red food coloring. Once I had them shaped and stitched, I added a little more coloring in the grooves. To wrap it up, I brushed on some tea to bring the flowers into the color scheme a bit better.
Nice stitching and love the colors. The button heart is awesome. I have lots of buttons, just need to get creative!!
ReplyDeleteVery nice. What are the roses made from?
